Slumguru
Comic about a poor man who lives in the slums. His life is an every day struggle trying to find a job and coping with the insecurities that the life of unemployment brings. Social inequality, shame and pressure which he has to confront daily since the society expects more from him and others like him. In this humouristic reality strip comic the man and other characters like him, all going about their lives each to their own way and approach to their miserable and poor life. All of them having to agonize and sweat in the bureaucratic jungle that the politicians, public servants and corporate businessmen created.
In the world of slumguru comic we try to bring up the mental, social, economic and political inequality indifference, shame and misery that the poor people have to face daily. The characters in this comic may be fictional, but the topics are not.
These comic strips about a suburb of poor accomodation comfort in basis of houses built too close to each and having too many people with the same problems living there are being drawn with an shaky hand by slums own comic strip artist Pablo Miguel.
